Hey Wally's - just picked this little beauty up from the tip today for $5. Measures 43" x 7-1/2". Rang my old buddy Shane Hadley about it and he was on the Parkers team with Cal Rogers. He suggested late 1970's, though from the looks of the stickers maybe very early 80's? And he said as far as he knew Cal didn't sell boards but just made up graphics and stickers for his own use. The blue Rogers name on the bottom has been screenprinted so he wasn't messing around. Just need to find some vintage trucks and wheels for this baby. Anybody know why the two holes are drilled inbetween the two grip tapes in the middle of the deck? It doesn't seem very flexy so my thought of some kind of anti-bottoming out device is probably well wrong.

Crusty - Parkers were a sports store at Karrinyup shopping centre that were pretty much the only serious WA skateboard store in the 1970's and early 80's. Shane told me there was a lot of competition back then in all forms, the days when everyone had a quiver. They used to go to the hills for downhill and slalom. And I've seen some killer photos of this crazy vert wall ramp behind Karrinyup shops that they were riding for height. Shane is up north working right now but I'll see if he can find some photos when he's back in a few weeks. In fact Beerzabub and Brett Marg were both sponsored by Parkers in 1986-88.

That's a great little find, love the Sims style graphic too!

Good bit of history.

How does one find such weapons?one would think it would be easier to pick up a gun before finding such a riding apparatus?
