Rory's the reason it's so sick tho, and kim as well. I think you guys have bumped into em once or twice(kims a hell lurker- he's probably watching right now)
if i'd been responsible for it, it'd be made out of pallets and cardboard  heh heh.
its getting close tho isn't it? you guys starting to think about loops yet?
giggle, . . . its not gonna be that hard, . . .
bring your helmets tho!

heres a coupla updated shots, all beams in, roll in 1/3 up. Doesn't look like much progress from the last shots but theres a lot of fiddly stuff done, levels, bracing, etc. Rory won't let us put facing on until the roofs on and rollin finished. For some reason he thinks we won't wanna work if we can skate!

looking good.... after building the shed ramp i am curious how to ply the top part.... we had enough trouble putting the ply on without having to do it upside down

I just can't stop laughing when I look at that..it's the most insane backyard setup ever!

As Larry says though it's gonna be a bitch to get the top surface on..unless you roll it upside down!

yeah, its gonna be tricky. We're thinking we'll modify a hills hoist so we can push against them while bracing on the opposite part of the pipe. The ply we're using is also fairly thin., so its not so hard to bend.

same here, just shout if you need any help. One thing we did do for the shed stuff was soak the ply first, it made it much less likely to crack. If it's the 9m econoply from Bunnos then it cracks real easy :x

I guess you'll need marine ply for that being outside which hopefully is a bit stronger.

yeah and nah, the plys thin thin five ply, probably 5mm, exterior b/c grade, but we're gonna use two layers. wetting it definately helps, but i dunno if we'll need to. Tony Jackson (goobie for the old school) got us a better than trade deal on it, so we got a good price and good quality. Tony always had the best minis during the eighties and ninetiews, so i trust his judgement on which ply is the go. cheers for the offers, will definately holler when the time comes.

pipe update, . ..

yep, if you can stand on the roof looking down the roll in, then looking at the pipe right there and not have your heart going a million miles an hour, . . . well, then you must be dead man.

Hi Jon,
I got a reply form D.Pang, so I forwarded it to your old email.
Still good?

Thats the fullpipe!
Thats one for the book for sure.
Are you going to paint it like a wave?
Is that one twisting 4ft transition?
If so you will have alot of ply triangles spare when you are finished!
Mabey you can turn 'em upside down and use them again!

Cool to see Rory in the limelight again too!
